Colt Brennan will be on hand for photos and signature opportunities for Warrior fans at Aloha Stadium on April 28. Great and rare chance for fans to meet Colt and the other players. Check out the UH press release below:

The University of Hawai`i Athletics Department will host a “Football `Ohana Festival” in conjunction with the football team’s final practice Saturday, April 28, at Aloha Stadium from 5:00-8:30 p.m.

Hawaii’s Brennan looking forward to big season

The Heisman hype is starting very early for Colt Brennan in a great article from USA Today on Brennan and Hawaii’s upcoming season.

Brennan set an NCAA record with 58 touchdown passes last season, leading the nation in passing yards (5,549), passing efficiency (186) and completion percentage (72.6).

He finished sixth in the Heisman Trophy voting and the school is preparing a “Colt for Heisman” campaign this season.

“Jeez,” Brennan said when asked by a TV reporter about his Heisman chances. “That’s a long time away from now. I think I’ll just keep it like I did last year and not worry about that or pay too much attention to it.”

Colt is definitely going to be able to put up some sick numbers next season, but if they come against 1-AA competition he’ll have to convince the Heisman voters it’s not just the weak competition. If Brennan can put up similar numbers against Boise State and Washington, he’s going to set even more records this season.

Let the Colt Brennan for Heisman hype begin!

USA Today leaps off the starting blocks to discuss the huge season expected from Hawaii QB Colt Brennan in the fall.

I fully expect Brennan to throw for 50 TDs and 5000 yards - the only negatives that I see are the loss of a couple offensive lineman and stud RB Nate Ilaoa. USA Today astutely points out some scheduling issues that won’t help either.

Stay tuned - the Fantasy College Blitz crew and I are working on our own special brand of promotion for this very campaign.

10. Matt Ryan Boston College Sr. 6-5/215 Exton, PA

Pretty solid list, though the names on there aren’t too exciting. There’s no Troy Smith or Brady Quinn out there this year, but those then guys all have the chance to blow up this year into household names. Brennan has the ability to break all kinds of records and should be a Heisman favorite from the throughout the season.
